2023 Winter Jamboree Rules
First off, we would like to welcome everyone to this years Winter Classic 2023 Jamboree which has been 3 years in the making due to the global pandemic.
RULES & IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
Due to strict schedule contraints to get the event finishes in one day, we are not making any changes to the schedules. Games will be very intense and we expect each team to basically be ready to jump on the ice the minute the game before is finished & for the previous games players to leave the ice surface immediately after their games are done.
-Each team is responsible for supplying their teams jerseys so please ensure they have both a white & black colored jersey with them. You must figure out the jersey color situation before jumping on the ice or you risk losing precious game time.
-There will not be any 2 minute warm up as originally announced due to time constraints. Once the previous game finishes, there will be 20 minutes added to the clock & timewill start running down so get your teams ready to play in this crazy game environment that brings intensity at the finest level.
-Non playoff games can end in a tie.
-Playoff games that end in a tie will be determined by a 1 player sudden death shootout where the sameplayer can shoot multiple times ifit goes to multiple rounds.
-2 points for a win.
-1 point for a tie.
-0 points for a loss.
-Head to head results.
-Most regulation wins.
-Most goals for.
-Least goals against.
-Winning team is responsible for bringing the scoresheet to the registration central to be entered.
-Penalties are penalty shots on the spot.
-No faceoffs with the exception to start a game.
-Floating blue line for offsides.
-All offsides or frozen pucks, possesion is given to the defensive team and offensive players must leave the blue line.
-Referees decision is final.
-If there are injuries to a goalie, teamsareallowed to substitute a goalie from another team.
-If there is a player suspended for fighting or given a match penalty for another act, they are removed from the tournament. All player expulsions will be reviewed by the registrar for a final decision.
-All games are running time.
